Excellent performance of DBU players in football and basketball tournament
Mandi Gobindgarh,Roop Naresh: Directorate of Sports and International Sports Committee, Desh Bhagat University jointly organized Basketball and Football Tournament for students of African contingent in India. Eight Football teams namely Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, Gulzar Group of Institutions, Khanna, Ludhiana College of Engineering & Technology, RIMT Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab College of Technology (PCT) Ludhiana, CT University Ludhiana, Lovely Professional University, Phagwara and Synetic Business College, Punjab Technical University and six Basketball teams were registered for the tournament.
We are thrilled to announce the results of the tournament which witnessed spirited competition and exemplary display of talent and teamwork, climaxed by the presence of Honorable Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University.
Football Tournament: Champion: Synetic Business College, 1st Runners-up: Desh Bhagat University Team ‘A’, 2nd Runners-up: Desh Bhagat University Team‘B’.
Basketball Tournament: Champion: Ludhiana College of Engineering and Technology, 1st Runner-up: Desh Bhagat University
The tournament not only provided a platform for African students to showcase their sporting talent but also promoted camaraderie and mutual respect among the participants from various institutions. The efforts put in by the organizing committee and volunteers of Desh Bhagat University were crucial in ensuring the smooth execution of the event.
