Cyber Security lecture organized at Desh Bhagat University

Mandi Gobindgarh, Roop Naresh: 1 PB NAVAL UNIT organized a guest Lecture on “Cyber Security” during the ATC Camp at Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh. On this occasion, Captain Harjit Singh Deol (Commanding Officer) welcomed Inspector Amit Singh and Sub Inspector Sunaina (State Cyber Crime Mohali) as the resource persons of the event.

Inspector Amit Singh said during his lecture that Cyber Security aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to defend the computer operating systems, networks and data from cyber-attacks. Cyber Security as a profession is evolving over the years, reason being the increasing rate of cyber-crimes.

Sub- Inspector Suniana added that any industry that transacts online or carries sensitive data is in need of a Cyber Security professional to safeguard its date from such delinquents.

Dr Zora Singh Chancellor and Dr Tajinder Kaur Pro-Chnacellor of Desh Bhagat University praised the knowledgeable lecture organized on cyber crime during NCC camp.

At the end of the event, Ms. Chamanpreet Kaur (CTO, Navy Wing) thanked the resource persons, faculty members, NCC Team of Desh Bhagat University, Mr. Gurdev Singh and Chief Officer Shuganpal Sharma and NCC Officers (ANO/CTO), NCC Cadets Mr. Gurjeet Singh Pandher (HOD, CSA Department & CTO, Air Wing) and IT Team for smooth execution of the event.
