Axis Bank unveils its Regional Office in Jharkhand, enhances Banking services across Eastern India

The new Regional office will oversee banking operations of 557 Axis Bank branches located across Jharkhand, Bihar, Orissa and Chhattisgarh

Axis Bank now has 9 regional offices across India.

Ranchi, 20 March 2024: Axis Bank, one of the largest private sector banks in India, today, inaugurated its Regional Office in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The regional office was inaugurated by Mr. Amitabh Chaudhry, MD&CEO; Axis Bank in the presence of other Axis Bank representatives – Ms. Arnika Dixit, President – Branch Banking, Mr. Saurabh Datta, Regional Branch Banking Head – East 1 and Mr. Akash Kumar, Circle Head – Jharkhand.

The new Regional Office will serve as a central hub that will oversee and monitor banking operations of over 550+ branches, located across Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha and Chhattisgarh. This strategic move will enable Axis Bank to elevate banking experiences for diverse customer segments through its vast financial offerings, while ensuring seamless operations and enhanced services.

Currently, Axis Bank has 85 branches and 186 ATMs in Jharkhand and 18 branches and 39 ATMs in Ranchi city. It has around 50% of its branches in the urban, while 39% are in semi-urban and 11% in rural regions. The Bank has always been focused on building a distinctive model of Bharat Banking, to penetrate the semi-urban and rural regions (RUSU). Embracing the vision of inclusive banking, the Bank has strategically positioned 42 Bharat Banking branches and has deployed 1600 Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) to offer banking solutions in semi urban and rural areas.
