Desh Bhagat University installed Guru Ka Langar dedicated to the martyrdom of Mata Gujri and four Sahibzades
Mandi Gobindgarh: Guru ka langar was installed by Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, paying tribute to the martyrdom of the four Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj, Baba Ajit Singh, Baba Jujhar Singh, Baba Zorawar Singh, Baba Fateh Singh and Mata Gujri Ji. This martyrdom day is celebrated from 21st to 28th December with great devotion.
On this occasion Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor Desh Bhagat University said that these days are dedicated to the martyrdom of the four sons and mother of the tenth Guru of Sikhs, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who made sacrifices for the protection of Sikhism and Hinduism. Dr. Zora Singh also shared that Sahibzada Baba Ajit Singh, Sahibzada Baba Jujhar Singh were martyred in the battle of Chamkaur and Chhote Sahibzada Baba Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Baba Fateh Singh ji were living in the walls at Sirhind while protecting their religious beliefs from coercion. were given and martyred. Dr. Zora Singh expressed hope that future generations will also remember and celebrate their sacrifices with more reverence.
On this occasion, the university also screened the film “Char Sahibzade” to educate the students about Sikh history, the message of which was to make the youth and children aware of Sikh history, Sikh principles and Sikh ideology.
