Campaign of Love, Service, and Brotherhood through Blood Donation

281 Nirankari devotees selflessly donated blood

Mohali ( Roop Naresh): With the divine blessings of Nirankari Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj, a blood donation camp was organized today at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Phase 6, Mohali, under the aegis of Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation.

The camp was inaugurated by Shri O.P. Nirankari Ji, Zonal Incharge of Chandigarh Zone, with his auspicious hands. Along with him, Mohali Incharge Dr. (Mrs.) J.K. Cheema Ji, Seva Dal officials, and other respected saints were also present.

In today’s camp, a total of 281 devotees, including many women, donated blood with selfless devotion, thus fulfilling the resolve of “Raktdaan – Mahadaan” (Blood Donation – The Greatest Donation).

On this occasion, Zonal Incharge Shri O.P. Nirankari Ji shared Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj’s message on blood donation:

“Blood has no religion, but when we donate blood, we perform the greatest religion — the religion of humanity. This service is not for one individual, but for the entire society.”

He further informed that since the year 1986, when Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj initiated this campaign, the Nirankari Mission has organized around 9,000 camps through which nearly 15 lakh (1.5 million) units of blood have been collected by various blood banks across the country.

He emphasized that the primary purpose of organizing such blood donation camps is to ensure the availability of blood in emergencies, to spread awareness in society about the importance of blood donation, and to encourage the youth towards selfless service.

On this occasion, Dr. J.K. Cheema Ji, Mohali Incharge of Sant Nirankari Mandal, expressed gratitude to Shri O.P. Nirankari Ji, all donors, and devotees. Conveying Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj’s message on blood donation, she said:

“Every drop that gives life to someone in need is a drop of love. This is the true essence of the Sant Nirankari Mission — spreading love, service, and brotherhood.”

She added:

“This is the life of a true devotee — to live for others and to consider service as devotion.” All devotees of the mission have lived this way. Baba Hardev Singh Ji also gave the message “Blood should flow in veins, not in drains”, thereby uniting humanity with this noble cause.

The blood units were collected under the supervision of Dr. Sangeeta, Associate Professor from the Blood Transfusion Department of PGI, with her 16-member team, and Dr. Rajveer Kaur, Assistant Professor from Civil Hospital, Mohali.
