Aditya Anmol has written a book on the former Chief Minister of Bihar Karpoori Thakur, titled The Jannayak Karpoori Thakur: Voice of the Voiceless While the late Minister’s life continues to inspire people, his death still remains a mystery to many. Thakur passed away in 1988 under mysterious circumstances and while there was never an official enquiry into it, many suspected foul play.

We aim to provide readers with the information needed to draw their conclusions about this enigmatic chapter of Karpoori Thakur’s life

The book even touches on many controversial events in Bihar politics, yet the author asserts, “Our aim is not to sensationalize or invite new controversies but to provide a comprehensive and truthful account of Karpoori Thakur’s life and the socio-political landscape he navigated.” Ask him if there are plans to convert the book into a feature film and Aditya says, “While there are no concrete plans at the moment, it is something we are open to exploring. The life and times of Karpoori Thakur have all the elements of a captivating and inspiring film, and it would be a wonderful way to honour his contributions and reach a wider audience
